EMIC, and in partnership with The Labour Fund (Tamkeen), are excited to collaborate with Harvard Business Impact Enterprise to offer this leadership development program aimed at nurturing the skills of high-potential Bahraini nationals. This program will focus on senior and middle managers from the private sector, aligned with EMIC’s vision of "Developing a Generation of Bahraini Professionals.“

About the program

  • The Program offers exclusive access to cutting-edge business education designed for senior leaders and executives in the private sector. Participants gain insights into leadership, strategy, and innovation through curated sessions led by Harvard Business Impact

  • This program is ideal for CEOs, senior executives, entrepreneurs, and experienced professionals seeking to enhance their leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • This program is not delivered by Harvard University. The sessions are conducted by Harvard Business Impact Senior Facilitators and Harvard Business School Faculty. Certificates of completion are issued directly by Harvard Business Impact.

  • The program is highly interactive, combining lectures, case studies, group exercises, and real-world applications led by HBI Senior Facilitators, HBS Faculty and industry experts.

  • Yes, participants receive a Harvard Business Impact Certificate upon completing the program.

  • The primary language of instruction is English. Proficiency in English is required to participate effectively.

Schedule and Venue

  • The program is expected to start in June 2026. Check the program calendar or contact EMIC Training for upcoming sessions.

  • The program consists of three modules delivered over a four-week cadence. Each module includes:

    • Two days of face-to-face learning

    • Individual learning via the Cascade Toolkit

    • A 90-minute virtual Integration Session

    • A 90-minute Quick Case Discussion or Simulation Debrief

  • The program is delivered in multiple formats, including:

    • In-Person: Held at a 5 stars hotel in Manama, Bahrain. Exact venue will be shared later on the program page.

    • Virtual: Online, interactive sessions.

    Further details on delivery will depend on the specific session chosen.

  • For flexibility, certain sessions may offer evening schedules, however no weekend sessions will be scheduled.

Payments and Financials

  • The program is fully funded by Tamkeen. However, places are limited, and a selection process is in place to select the best profiles for the program. Submitting your application is the first stage of the selection process. All applications should be submitted by [date here].

  • While this is not encouraged, you can cancel your enrollment any time before the start date, however, rescheduling is not available as the program has a set start and finish date.

Eligibility and Admission

  • The program is for Bahraini citizens living and currently working in Bahrain’s private sector. Participants should have at least 3 years in a senior executive leadership role or 8 years in a managerial position with a responsibility of managing a specific business function or a team.

  • There are no strict age restrictions, but the program is tailored for senior-level professionals, typically aged 30 and above.

  • No, candidates from all educational backgrounds are welcome. However, participants should have significant professional experience to fully benefit from the curriculum.

  • After successfully submitting your application, EMIC Training will be reviewing all applications, scoring applicants, and sharing the results. The application will be the first part of the selection process. After which successful and non-successful applicants will be notified if they qualify for the next stage of the selection.

  • No formal prerequisites are required. However, the program is tailored for professionals with significant managerial or executive experience.

Topics, Assignments, and Exams

  • The programs focus on practical learning and application. While there are no traditional exams, participants may be required to complete:

    • Pre-course reading materials

    • Group discussions and presentations

    • Real-world case studies and simulations

  • No formal grades are issued. However, attendance of all sessions, active participation, and portal completion are expected to earn the completion certificate.

  • Yes, organizations can enroll groups of employees in the program. This is an excellent opportunity for companies to upskill their leadership teams collectively. However, each group member must go through the application and selection process individually due to the nature of the assessment and scoring criteria.

This module will focus on self-leadership with an emphasis on cultivating the behaviors and best-practice approaches that engage and motivate others.

Key Ideas

  1. Identify personal purpose and personal leadership style or "brand"

  2. Explore self-awareness and emotional intelligence (EQ) as a critical aspect of any leadership brand

  3. Connect personal purpose to organizational purpose, articulating your "why" 

  4. Consider varying perspectives to better understand what diverse stakeholders are seeking from you and apply situational leadership best practices

Module 1

Leading with Purpose for Impact 

Concept 

This module focuses on fostering a strategic mindset to execute to a high standard. In addition to connecting their organization's highest-level strategy to the work that they do each day, participants will explore how their organizations are driving Bahrain Vision 2030. 

Key Ideas 

  • Cultivate a "Zoom In, Zoom Out' mindset, building awareness of the external environment and trends, while remaining connected to daily operations. 

  • Explore best practices for decision-making – and trade-offs – in alignment with strategic aspirations.

  • Clear and compelling articulation of strategic plans and value creation.

Module 2

Executing with a Strategic Mindset 

Concept 

A dynamic external environment calls for leaders to work in new ways with agility and a growth mindset– in this module, participants will explore how they can empower their organizations to achieve collective high performance.

  • Communicate the vision, leveraging storytelling

  • Encourage psychological safety and feedback 

  • Foster collaboration and creative abrasion

  • Understand what it takes to “deliver today” while “creating tomorrow”
